In an urge to reunite with her family, Maria Decides to Cross the US Mexico Border illegally. Little did she know, her struggle for survival relies on someone else’s hands.
Maria has been away from her family for over two years. The images of her kids are slowly fading away in her head. To reunite with her loved ones, Maria decides to cross one of the most crucial borders that mankind has ever created - The US Mexico Border. Every year, the border sees hundreds of deaths due to extreme weather conditions and the lack of human resources. Parched bodies in the bitter desert have, unfortunately, become their ornaments. While crossing such a border, Maria’s colleagues get captured, leaving her in the middle of the desert alone without food and water. Her exuberance and the struggle of crossing the border are opted to deliver a strong message about our current, broken immigration system. Diego Martinez is a border patrol agent who tries to escape the truth about her daughter’s past. Along with his colleague, they’ve been assigned to watch for the group of crossers, recently reported.
